7 Facts You Should Know About Alex
Ambassador: Brooks Running, The Cowtown Marathon, Route 66 Marathon
Volunteer: Director, Board – National Black Marathoners Association & Committee Member, Content – Running USA ; Running Coach – Road Runners of America (RRCA)
Works: Director of Communications – Non-Profit focused on Counseling for Children
Loves: Kale, Cupcakes, Tea and Traveling
Passions: Marathon & Marketing
Mantra: Mind Over Matter (Also stands for MOM, who suddenly passed away in June 2018)
Favorite Moment: To many to count but a great moment was Boston 2018 with my mom and brother as this was her last race she attended before her passing- plus it’s Boston! However, every year I enjoy gathering hundreds of black runners around the world to meet up at a race and honor running history/legends. It’s a lot of work putting this on and the Hall of Fame is crazy, but these moments make me realize the impact I am making in others lives through marketing and marathons. It offsets the lack of sleep and managing the 15,000+ members from our organizations’ FB group each day. HA!
